Getting Started

Your download is now starting…

  • Step 1

    Go to the Tools page to choose your download package.

    Step 2

    Locate the installer on your hard drive and double click it to begin setup.

    Step 3

    Follow the steps in the Setup Wizard to complete installation.

  • Step 4

    Enter your MediaFire account login information, or follow the link to create a new account.

    Step 5

    To upload, select some files and drag them to the notification area of your taskbar.

    Step 6

    You can also select files and then right click to upload from the context menu.

  • Step 1

    Your download should have started. If it hasn’t, click here to try again.

    Step 2

    Locate the installer on your hard drive and double click it to begin setup.

    Step 3

    Drag the MediaFire Express application to your Applications folder.

  • Step 4

    Go to MediaFire Express in your applications folder and open it.

    Step 5

    Enter your MediaFire account login information, or follow the link to create a new account.

    Step 6

    To upload, select some files and drag them to the MediaFire icon in your menu bar.

Ubuntu Installation

  • 1

    Download the MediaFire Express package.

  • 2

    Open a terminal and change directory to the location where you downloaded the package.

  • 3

    Type: sudo dpkg -i MediaFireUploader_0.9.X.2170-linux_amd64.deb (filename is only for example purposes).
    If you are installing this as an update, you must first close any running instances of the MediaFire Express.

    Enter your password and install.

Fedora Installation

  • 1

    Download the MediaFire Express package.

  • 2

    Open a terminal and change directory to the location where you downloaded the package.

    Ensure that your current user has root privileges.

  • 4

    Type: yum install --nogpgcheck MediaFireUploader-0.9.X.2201-linux.x86_64.rpm (filename is only for example purposes).
    If you are installing this as an update, you must first close any running instances of the MediaFire Express.
